Homemade Mee Hoon Guei ^v*

Really have no appetite today and suddenly missed my mom's ever good tasting Mee Hoon Guei that I decided to cook one for my lunch.. :) This is vegetarian style and hence, do not have the aroma of ikan bilis but still taste delightful and fulfilled my craving! ;p

Ingredients: (Serves 1)
200g Flour
1/2 cup water
A few mushroomheads
Some vegetarian ham
3 stalks cai xin
3 mushrooms
1 egg
Salt and very little sesame oil

Method:
Mix flour and water together with a pinch of salt and knead into a soft elastic dough.
Boil soup with water and mushroomheads. Add mushrooms and ham.
Using your fingers, flatten dough and divide into pieces before dropping them into the boiling soup.
Wait for soup to boil before adding cai xin and egg. Season with salt and sesame oil.
Serve.

Dear ladybug, why are u here?

Am surprised to see this little creature crawling unknowingly on my veg e other day as you dun really get to see their appearance very often. Its bright red back dotted with striking black dots is really hard to miss, and observing it making its slow moves on the green veg leaf makes you wonder why has it not been frozen having stayed 1 week in the freezer! @_@

This nice little cup of latte was finished with a very cute bear design on the froth.. Received a lovely pressie last week.. it has definitely brightened my day and brings warm to my heart. The paper wrapping is nice, finished with a cute lace ribbon. Happy Blossom!

What a nice winter surprise! After weeks of TLC, planting efforts eventually put off and my basil plant finally flowered! This is the first time I've seen real basil flowers and in my own "garden"... in fact, this is the first successful flowering plant I've grown so far... hahaa... and thing is, I didn't know it's basil plant until today when I was trying to google the English name for "九层塔" online... cos I didn't know "Jiu Ceng Ta" (九层塔) and "Basil" are actually the same thing.. no wonder they smell so familiar.. wahahaha.. >.<
